Johanne Skovgaard Schovsbo

Johanne Skovgaard Schovsbo is a future PhD student at the Department of Hematology, Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen University Hospital, Denmark, and at BRIC (Biotech Research and Innovation Centre), University of Copenhagen. Her main research interest is the optimization of treatment strategies and clinical outcomes following allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (allo-HCT).

Her previous research has focused on outpatient management of patients undergoing allo-HCT and on optimizing conditioning regimens, with particular emphasis on treosulfan-based conditioning.

Her PhD project will focus on improving outcomes after allo-HCT through optimization of graft-versus-host disease prophylaxis and relapse treatment, as well as by exploring novel immunological strategies to strengthen post-transplant disease control and improve prognosis.
