EHA 2026: Thromboinflammatory Markers Are Elevated Years Before MPN Diagnosis and May Reflect Risk of Progression

In this MEDtalk from EHA 2026, Lea Löffler, MD, and PhD student at Zealand University Hospital, Roskilde, presents preliminary results on thromboinflammatory markers in patients with JAK2-positive clonal hematopoiesis, measured longitudinally. The findings suggest that patients who later develop myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) may show distinct biomarker profiles years before disease onset, supporting future risk prediction and earlier identification of patients at increased risk of thrombo-inflammatory disease and progression.
