Dorte Ejg Jarbøl

Dorte Ejg Jarbøl is a General Practitioner and Professor in Family Medicine. She works part-time in a general practice on Funen and at the Research Unit of General Practice at the University of Southern Denmark.

She was among the originators of the Danish Symptom Cohort study in 2012. As a project leader, she has explored symptoms and healthcare-seeking behaviour in the general population for more than a decade.

Dorte specialises in symptom-based diagnostics, family healthcare, gastrointestinal diseases and cancer care. She is an enthusiastic, respected and acknowledged teacher and supervisor, to the great benefit of the medical students at the University of Southern Denmark and the more than 25 PhD students she has supervised over the years.

Further, Dorte is an active member of several committees, including the Danish Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Danish Society of Family Medicine and the International Cancer Benchmarking Partnership working group.
