Hamish S. Scott

Hamish S. Scott, PhD, BSc, is Head of Department of Genetics and Molecular Pathology at SA Pathology in Australia and Head of a dynamic academic/diagnostic department. His integration of basic and clinical research is facilitated by the Centre for Cancer Biology, an SA Pathology and UniSA alliance.

Hamish S. Scott is an international leader in identification of disease causing germline mutations and genes including in blood cancers predisposition. He advocates for, uses and helps build national and international diagnostic and research collaborative genomic networks for patient benefit. His department leads and/or participates in many collaborative national and international data aggregation initiatives and studies (e.g. Shariant, the RUNX1 database, The Fetal Genomics Consortium).
