Janet Jianying Zhang

Dr Janet Jianying Zhang is a clinician scientist who specializes in the field of oral-brain aging and provides clinical care for patients with oral diseases. Dr Zhang obtained her PhD in Clinical Science of Stomatology from Sun Yat-sen University, China, in 2016.

After graduation, she acquired a dental license in China and served as a junior group leader at Xiangya School of Stomatology, Central South University, China. Her research interests have primarily focused on biofilm-associated oral diseases, dental regeneration, and the aging process of the oral-brain connection.

Dr Zhang joined the Evandro Fei Fang lab in 2021 for postdoctoral training where she is dedicated to elucidating the aetiology of ageing and Alzheimer’s disease and to developing novel interventional strategies.
