Katarina Holmberg

Katarina Holmberg has worked as a registered nurse in allogeneic haematopoietic cell transplantation for 15 years at Karolinska University Hospital in Huddinge, Sweden, and one year in haematology at King’s College Hospital in London, United Kingdom. Furthermore, she has professional experience as a registered nurse in infectious care for 10 years at Karolinska University Hospital.

Currently, Holmberg teaches nursing at general and advanced levels at Sophiahemmet University College. Moreover, she is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Gävle in the Can-Work-S programme. A research programme that aims to investigate how cancer affects participation in working life and health. The research is part of an inclusive working life. Her research interest is self-care, an area that is the focus of her thesis.
