Katrine Lundby Høyer
Katrine Lundby Høyer is a medical doctor and PhD student affiliated with the Department of Hepatology and Gastroenterology at Aarhus University Hospital and the Institute for Clinical Medicine at Aarhus University, Denmark.
She specialises in gastroenterology and endocrinology, focusing on understanding and addressing the complex interplay between these medical fields. As part of her PhD research, Katrine has conducted a randomised clinical trial—the first to explore the effects of faecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) in patients with type 1 diabetes and severe gastroenteropathy. Her work provides valuable new insights and paves the way for innovative treatment approaches for a particularly challenging patient group.
