Mette Kaasgaard

Mette Kaasgaard works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Pulmonary Research Unit Region Zealand (PLUZ), Department of Respiratory Medicine, Zealand University Hospital Roskilde and Næstved Hospital and Department of Regional Health Research, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Southern Denmark.  

In June 2022, she defended her Ph.D. dissertation entitled» Singing in Pulmonary Rehabilitation of Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)» from Research Unit Region Zealand (PLUZ), Department of Respiratory Medicine, Zealand University Hospital Roskilde and Næstved Hospital and from Center for Music in the Brain, Department of Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Health, Aarhus University and the Royal Danish Academy of Music Aarhus/Aalborg. 

Mette Kaasgaard has a Master of Science degree from the IT University of Copenhagen, focusing on concept development, user-centred design, and innovation. Moreover, she holds a five-year diploma graduate degree from the Royal Danish Academy of Music as a classical singer and singing pedagogue.
