Sigrun Thorsteinsdottir
Sigrun Thorsteinsdottir, MD, originally from Reykjavik, Iceland, earned her medical degree from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. Her research interests are multiple myeloma and its precursor conditions. Completing her PhD in 2019, her dissertation explored bone diseases and fractures associated with multiple myeloma and its precursors, as well as survival trends in multiple myeloma. Since then, she has worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the iStopMM study at the University of Iceland, with a primary focus on investigating smoldering multiple myeloma.
Furthermore, Sigrun Thorsteinsdottir is a deputy representative on the board of the Nordic Myeloma Study Group and is the leader of the NMSG Real-World Data Group. Simultaneously, she practices clinically as a medical doctor at the Department of Haematology at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, Denmark.
