Steen Ethelberg

Steen Ethelberg is head of the Section of Food- and Waterborne and Zoonotic Infections, and a senior researcher in the epidemiology of zoonotic infections at the SSI (Danish institute for infectious disease control) and a professor at the University of Copenhagen. He does research into the epidemiology of food- and waterborne and zoonotic infections, aiming to improve our understanding of how and to which degree these diseases are transmitted to people and cause outbreaks – to hopefully be able to devise ways to reduce their infection pressure.
