ELCC 2026: Digital Tool for ECOG Assessment in Lung Cancer

Milla Katajisto, MD, Department of Pulmonary Medicine, Helsinki University Hospital, Finland, presented a study at ELCC 2026 on a digital application designed to provide more precise ECOG performance assessments in lung cancer patients. The app collects daily step counts and symptom/quality-of-life data, which are combined with clinical evaluation to give doctors an integrated view of patient status. Over two years, the system has shown promise in providing more objective and detailed assessments than standard in-clinic evaluations.
