Lanfranco Pellesi
Lanfranco Pellesi is a medical doctor and clinical pharmacologist with a PhD in neuroscience, now working in academia in Denmark. His research focuses on translational headache and pain, bridging mechanistic clinical studies with cellular assays and registry-based studies.
Current projects span sex-based mechanisms in individuals with migraine without aura, determinants of non-response to anti-CGRP monoclonal antibodies and calcium-imaging studies of pain mediators in trigeminal neurons.
He teaches at Roskilde University and the University of Southern Denmark, where he integrates flipped learning, evidence-based medicine, and AI-assisted feedback.
