EADV 2025: Rational Use of Antibiotics in Dermatology

Multidrug-resistant bacteria continue to pose a serious global health threat, with a significant proportion of cases showing early skin involvement. Emphasis is shifting toward rational antibiotic use, including optimized timing based on circadian rhythms and adjunctive use of biofilm disruptors. At EADV 2025, Professor Giovanni Damiani, PhD, from the University of Milan, presented strategies for dermatologists to enhance efficacy while mitigating resistance in clinical practice.
