Henrik Grönberg
Henrik Grönberg, MD, PhD, is a senior physician, Professor of Cancer Epidemiology at Karolinska Institutet, and Head of the Capio St. Göran Hospital Prostate Cancer Center, Stockholm. His main research interest is prostate cancer genetics with a focus on identifying new markers both for the risk of getting prostate cancer and for the prognosis of prostate cancer once diagnosed. He developed STHLM3, which is a blood test that detects aggressive prostate cancer at an early stage.
Henrik Grönberg got his medical degree and PhD from Umeå University, Sweden, and is a specialist in oncology. Earlier, he was the chairman of the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Karolinska Institutet and he also served as Acting Pro-Vice-Chancellor at Karolinska Institutet in 2016.
