Physicians» vs patients» global assessments of disease activity in rheumatology and musculoskeletal trials
In most rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases, global assessments of disease activity by physicians and patients are anchor outcomes in rheumatology and musculoskeletal trials (RMD) evaluating whether a treatment is effective. This study compares physicians’ vs patients’ global assessment of disease activity in RMD trials and explores reasons for discrepancies between them. The results are presented by Robin Christensen, professor of Biostatistics and clinical epidemiology at the Parker Institute, Frederiksberg Hospital, Denmark.
