Risk of Dementia in Older Patients Treated with Chemotherapy for Lymphoma

During cancer treatment with chemotherapy, many patients experience cognitive impairment, also known as ‘’chemo-brain’’. Do cancer and chemotherapy increase the risk of dementia in older patients (>65y)? That question has been asked and is answered in this MEDtalk by Eva Futtrup Maksten, a Ph.D. student at Aalborg University Hospital in Denmark. Her research was presented in a poster at EHA23.
