The systemic immune-inflammation index as a potential peripheral biomarker of effective anti-psoriatic treatment
Psoriasis is considered a systemic inflammatory disease. The systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), based on peripheral blood neutrophil, platelet, and lymphocyte counts, is shown to be elevated in patients with psoriasis compared to healthy controls. In this MEDtalk Amanda Kvist-Hansen from Copenhagen University Hospital, will share some of her thoughts and findings from her latest study on whether SII is affected by biological treatment and associated with the psoriasis area and severity index.
