Leptospirosis in Denmark – An Important Emerging Infection

This article describes the Danish surveillance of leptospirosis and the correlation between exposure to Leptospira through rat contact in connection with cloudbursts, flooding and water-related activities, as well as generally recommended infection prevention measures to prevent water-related infectious diseases.
